Practicing low-carbon management to support green mountains and clear waters

In November 2021, Tianyi Lithium launched its first carbon inventory check. At present, the organizational carbon inventory and product carbon footprint verification have been completed for two consecutive years. Tianyi Lithium Industry will include "carbon emissions" in the scope of normalized regulation and will continue to monitor and optimize.

In terms of energy conservation and emission reduction, Tianyi Lithium Industry continues to increase investment in energy conservation and emission reduction, organize and implement key energy-saving improvement projects, adjust and optimize energy structure, continuously increase the proportion of renewable energy, and thereby reduce greenhouse gas emissions in production activities.

All water resources consumed by Tianyi Lithium Industry come from municipal water supply. Based on the original production process, no production wastewater is generated, only domestic wastewater is produced. The company has formulated the "Company Wastewater Management System" in accordance with national, local, and industry related wastewater discharge standards, regulating the disposal and discharge of wastewater. In accordance with environmental impact assessment requirements, online monitoring equipment is equipped to systematically ensure the compliance of water treatment and discharge.
Standard discharge of domestic wastewaterDomestic wastewater is treated by integrated treatment facilities and discharged into the park's sewage pipeline network after preliminary treatment. It is then treated by the park's sewage treatment plant and discharged after reaching the standard.
Recycling of production wastewaterThe production wastewater in the factory area is not discharged externally. Some of it is treated in a wastewater sedimentation tank and reused, while others are directly reused, achieving zero discharge of wastewater in the production area.
Initial rainwater treatmentThere is an initial polluted rainwater collection tank built in the factory area, which is used to collect and treat the initial polluted rainwater in the factory area. After collection, it is reused to supplement the cooling water of the circulating pool of equipment such as rotary kilns.

Waste gas treatment

The company has formulated the "Waste Gas Management System" to standardize the management of waste gas emissions, prevent environmental pollution, and ensure that the emission labeling and total control standards of waste gas pollutants meet the "dual standards". Based on the characteristics of different pollutants, targeted investment is made in the construction of environmental protection facilities, and advanced environmental protection technologies are used for pollutant treatment to reduce emission concentration and amount. In terms of the operation of environmental protection facilities, develop maintenance plans and regularly implement maintenance to ensure effective operation of the facilities and effective treatment of pollutants before discharge.

Solid waste management

Tianyi Lithium Industry has formulated a Solid Waste Management System to implement classification management requirements, and the generated solid waste is divided into hazardous waste and general solid waste. The temporary storage of hazardous waste shall be carried out in accordance with the Pollution Control Standards for Hazardous Waste Storage (GB18597-2001) and relevant standard specifications. The management and disposal of general solid waste shall refer to the "Pollution Control Standards for Storage and Landfill of General Industrial Solid Waste" (GB 18599-2020) and relevant regulatory standards. Comprehensive utilization measures shall be taken for the waste generated during the production process, and the household waste generated from office and daily life shall be regularly cleared by the environmental sanitation department to avoid secondary pollution to the environment.

Resource recycling

According to research literature, adding a certain proportion of lithium slag during the firing process of cement can significantly improve its performance, make its microstructure more dense, and significantly enhance its compressive strength. Meanwhile, with the addition of lithium slag, the amount of clinker also decreases, thereby alleviating the high cement firing cost caused by high coal prices. In 2022, general solid waste - lithium slag - is generated during the production process, and 100% is recycled by nearby downstream cement plants.

Tianyi Lithium actively seeks global market lithium resource protection through strategic investment to diversify its lithium resources globally. At the same time, we recognize that significant social and environmental risks may arise in the process of lithium raw material extraction, trading, processing, import and export, and recognize that the company has the responsibility to respect human rights, eliminate and control related risks. To this end, we have developed a due diligence management policy for Tianyi Lithium's lithium supply chain based on the "Guidelines for Responsible Mineral Supply Chain Management in China" released by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Minmetals and Chemicals (CCCMC), and referring to the "Guidelines for Responsible Supply Chain Management of Mines from Conflict Affected and High Risk Regions, Third Edition" by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), And include it in the contracts or agreements signed with suppliers, this policy provides reference for conflict sensitive procurement activities throughout the mineral resource supply chain and supplier risk awareness. We promise to abide by domestic laws and not participate in any actions that may provide assistance or convenience for conflicts.
